Dear Parishioners,
I thought you would enjoy an encouraging word from the writings of St. Frances de Chantal. As we all try to remain prayerful during these days, the wisdom of our saints can do a lot to keep our spirits up.
Follow your own way of speaking to our Lord sincerely, lovingly, confidently, and simply, as your heart dictates. Sometimes be content to stay ever so short awhile in his divine presence, faithfully and humbly like a child before his father, waiting to be told what to do, totally dependent on the paternal will in which he has placed all his love and trust. You may, if you wish, say a few words on this subject, but very quietly. Prayer and a frequent lifting of your heart to God are necessary and useful. Once divine love takes possession of your heart, oh! How easy all the rest will be!
Blessings and strength to you all. Fr. Juan and I remember all of you each day at Mass and in our personal prayers. Please pray for us. Our Lord and our Blessed Mother will surely watch over us all.
